But you’re not sure whether to choose the Personal or Business plan?

Let’s dive into it, and make it super clear for you 🙂

For many, many people the Personal plan is more than sufficient for a beautiful functioning website with great SEO, mobile responsiveness, a blog, and some coding capabilities.

I’ll just walk through all the common scenarios in which you would need the Business plan’s premium features.

And the great thing is, you can upgrade your plan at any time if your business’s needs grow!

here are the features only included in the business plan and up

Marketing Features

  • Show a pop-up on your site, advertising your free resource or promotion

  • Pin an announcement bar at the top of your website

  • Connect an email marketing provider like Mailchimp

  • Set up a blog subscription for your readers

  • Track your visitor statistics with Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics

  • Get a professional email from G Suite free for a year if you don’t already have one

  • Run ads with $100 of Google Adwords Credits (after you spend the first $25)

  • Incorporate the Facebook Pixel for Facebook Ads

Customization and Third-Party Integrations

  • Third-party Scheduling or Booking app integration

    • Squarespace has an Appointment Scheduling Block available on all plans, but you either have to pay for an Acuity account or pay for a Squarespace Scheduling account in order to activate it.

    • Let’s say you are using a different booking service (for ex. Calendly, Vagaro, Dubsado, Honeybook, 17hats). In that case you will need the SQSP Business Plan to embed the app on your site.

  • Display your Google Calendar or other availability calendar on your website

  • Use ChatFuel or another instant messenger on your site

Online Shop

  • Host a simple e-commerce store without having to upgrade to a Commerce Plan

    • With the Business Plan, you can sell an unlimited number of products & gift cards, and accept donations. It also includes simple discounts and shipping options. But there is a 3% transaction fee on the Business Plan. If you’re wondering about more robust commerce features, check them out here.

If you’re not sure which features you’ll want to utilize, no worries. You’ll get a two-week trial period to play around with Squarespace before you have to commit to any one plan.

But when you are ready to commit, here’s a breakdown of your options (see also: table below).

Personal Plan cost:

Monthly plan

Pay $23 every month, which totals out to $276 for the year.

Yearly plan (save 25%)

Pay $192 once a year, which works out to $16 a month.

Designer discount (save another 20%)

If your site is created by a Circle Member (👋 hayy, that’s me!), you get an extra 20% off for your first year, so you’d just make one payment of $153.60 until your plan renews.

Business Plan cost:

Monthly plan

Pay $33 every month, which totals out to $396 for the year.

Yearly plan (save 30%)

Pay $276 once a year, which works out to $23 a month.
