The problem

Let me introduce you to my client, Leah, a writer and leadership & development professional in tech who focuses on psychospirituality. If that alone isn’t cool enough, she also hosts a podcast with LinkedIn. THE LinkedIn ;)

When we met, Leah was entering her next phase of expansion, namely selling a human development course — and her baby website she’d DIY’d years ago just wasn’t going to cut it anymore.

She needed a whole rebrand, along with a reimagined hub for her audience that would attract subscribers and sell her course.

Her last website was built on Format.com, but she expressed wanting to move to Squarespace for better ease of use.

After we hit it off on the discovery call, we got to work. Here’s a sample of the final product!

The solution

We started as always by getting clear on the website goals, the target audience, the voice, and the look & feel. I also had Leah work through my copy templates so we were sure to have a compelling message.

With that work done, it was clear that the site needed to be a balance between corporate and casual. We wanted to attract young professionals that take their journey seriously, but let Leah’s warm personality shine through to make her audience feel welcome.

Now that we had a solid vision, it was time to translate it into visuals! We created a new logo and submark for Leah, along with a color palette, fonts, and plenty of on-brand stock photography that helped create the right mood.

From there, we built out each page with care in an intuitive, mobile-friendly, and conversion-led layout :)

Check out more snapshots of the site below and let me know what you think!

Here’s what my lovely client said about her experience working together :)

“You will absolutely love your new site; working with Emily will be easy and straightforward and you will not regret the investment!

Before, my site wasn't expressing who I am and I was so embarrassed to share it with anyone. The biggest fear when hiring was, "Will it turn out how I want it to?" and "Will she be fun and reliable to work with?" I actually feel I got amazing communication, work, and collaboration for what I paid for. It's going to be the hub through which I make my income and share my work with the world. The site looks amazing and I appreciate you!!!”
